History

City of Bradford Pipe Band can trace its roots back to the early 1900’s. Formed by local pipers and drummers in the City of Bradford, West Yorkshire, the band has a proud tradition of piping and drumming which has spanned over a century.

The band has performed for civic occasions, parades, highland gatherings, and a wide variety of public and private events over the years. As times have changed the band has adapted, but the core principles of musicianship, presentation, and pride remain.

Generations of pipers, drummers, and dancers have passed through the band, helping to sustain and grow the tradition of Highland music in the Bradford area.
